Description
Once on the brink of extinction mainly because of chemical contaminates like DDT peregrine falcons are thriving again in many areas. Thousands of peregrines were reared in captive breeding programs and released into a cleaner environment. These are newly hatched young and an addled egg - Tooele County, Utah.

I am so glad to hear of these positive endangered species stories. It is my mission also to use my art to promote the conservations efforts made by so many. Your photographs are just astounding!

So adorable! It's wonderful that a program was started to enable these birds to thrive again... like they did for the Bald Eagles here on the east coast.
